Scholarship Selection Committee

This committee develops selection criteria, solicits applicants, reviews and evaluates applicants and selects scholarship recipients. It is also responsible for tracking each recipient's performance and making sure that requirements are met throughout the scholarship period. The Scholarship Selection Committee meets every year in April and May. This group receives all the applications for a Rotary Scholarship. Each member reviews the applications and scores the student. The committee then meets to determine the top candidates. The top candidates are interviewed in-person. The Committee then determines the number of scholarships it will award and the amount of each scholarship. The Rotary Club on average awards $20,000 each year.
