The Rotary Club of Pagosa Springs
honors the life and legacy of
Codie Wilson,
a devoted Rotarian,
compassionate professional,
and cherished member of our community.

Codie joined Rotary in 1996 and quickly became a cornerstone of our club. She served for many years as our liaison to Pagosa Outreach Connection, building meaningful bridges between Rotary and those in need. Her leadership extended to chairing our Membership Committee, where she helped grow and strengthen our club, and to serving as President of the Pagosa Rotary Scholarship Foundation, where her commitment to youth and education left a lasting impact.

Beyond Rotary, Codie lived a life rooted in service. Born on June 13, 1935, in Denver, Colorado, she pursued her education at Colorado College and later at Stanford University. She dedicated her professional life to helping others as a mental health therapist, offering compassion, wisdom, and care to countless individuals and families.

In 1967, Codie married Joe Wilson and embraced his three children as her own. Together, they built a loving family that grew to include six children, 13 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. After moving to Chimney Rock in 1972, Codie eventually made Pagosa Springs her home, where she continued to nurture both her family and her community.

Codie passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 7, 2026. She is survived by her sons, Yul and Rok, their families, her bonus daughter Lorene, and a large and loving extended family.

Codie’s legacy is one of kindness in action. Whether through her professional work, her deep commitment to Rotary, or the quiet ways she showed up for others, she made a difference that will continue to ripple through our community for years to come.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 25, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the PLPOA Clubhouse. Please join us as we gather to share memories, stories, and love.
